Celebrating a Life of Love, Strength, and Kindness

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, whose warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love shaped our lives in countless ways. She departed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and cherished memories. She is survived by her children, Mark Invidiata (Gry) & Christopher Invidiata (Lesley), both of Oakville, Ontario; and Lia Abernethy (Allan) of Gravenhurst; her brother, Peter Egan (Vicky) of Hamilton; her sister, Jennifer Gooder (Gary) of Niagara-On-The-Lake, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Aaron Invidiata (1967-2016).

Born December 9, 1932, Liz (or Betty Ann) was the eldest of 3 children by Doris Egan (1907-2000) and Samuel W Egan (1898-1972) and raised in North York. From a young age, she displayed a remarkable spirit and generous nature and her parents instilled in her the values of hard work, kindness, and resilience, which she carried throughout her life.

Mom dedicated herself to her family, raising her children with love, patience, and endless support. Her home was a place where you would always be made welcome and she would always put her children’s needs before her own. Her commitment for her children led to her decades long career with Christopher Invidiata as a member of his administrative team.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and inspired. She leaves behind children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends who will miss her deeply and honour her memory by living with the same generosity and grace she showed every day.

The family would like to thank our cousin Robin and her daughters for their love and support throughout her time at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital as well as the staff at Spencer House for their care and compassion in the final years of her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in her memory. Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home.

We love you, Mom. You will forever be in our hearts.
