Mahoney; Donna Theresa

We celebrate the life of Donna Theresa Mahoney who passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday evening, April 14, 2026, in Orillia, Ontario.

Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick on November 24,1945, the sixth of eight children born to the late Patricia (Broderick) Mahoney and the late Norbert Mahoney.

Donna worked passionately as a Teacher and a Registered Nursing Assistant and touched many lives with her compassion, empathy and selfless generosity. She also loved writing poetry, especially about her family.

Donna is predeceased by her siblings Michael, Charles, Alexander, Alice and Lois, and is survived by her brother Bernard Mahoney (Eleanor), and sister Linda Abbott, as well as countless cousins, nieces and nephews who remember fondly how extra special she made Christmas time.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Paulette Tracey of Tracey House for her immeasurable care and support of Donna these last few years. Special recognition is also extended to our dear nephew Rob Murphy, who regularly visited and supported Donna and was by her side in her final moments.

A family memorial is to be held at a later date to remember and honour Donna’s life. Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia.
