At The Mundell
Funeral Home, every effort and attention is
focused on those to whom we provide service.
Care, comfort and compassion are at the core
of everything we do, from initial
discussions to final arrangements.
We believe that
our elegant facilities, knowledgeable and
compassionate staff, and rich history of
serving the community of Orillia through
three generations of family ownership
combine to truly set The Mundell Funeral
Home apart.
In addition to
the facilties, staff and history of The
Mundell Funeral Home, we are extremely proud
of our Commitment to
Accessibility and our Family Care Program.
Information on both is provided below.
Committment to
Accessibility
From arrangement offices and
selection room to lounge, visitation
parlours, chapel and reception room, our
entire building is accessible without the
use of stairs. We also have wheelchairs
available for use within the funeral
home.
Anyone with a hearing
impairment is encouraged to request an
individual hearing enhancement unit which
provides direct feed to a small pair of
earphones. There is no charge for this
service.
Our chapel is furnished with cushioned pews to
comfortably seat 120 guests. To accomodate
larger gatherings, we are equiped with a system
that allows for closed circuit viewing and
listening of the service from rooms ajacent to
our chapel.
Family Care Program
What is Family Care? Family Care is a service
we provide, without charge, following the
funeral or memorial service. Its sole purpose
is to help survivors resolve some of the
practical matters that can be most difficult
after the loss of a loved one.
The list below will give you an idea of the
ways in which our Family Care Director is
prepared to help. Our practice is to arrange
for a time at your home within a day or two
after the funeral or memorial service. Because
we know there will be many things on your mind,
you need only plan an hour or so.
